Quinta de Cima Golf Course

About

This is the sister course to the Quinta da Ria course also designed by Rock Roquemore. For golf enthusiasts, these two courses make a fabulous 36-hole adventure. Construction is limited in the area so playing these courses is peaceful. According to the Top 100 Golf Courses of the World, it ranks eighth in the Algarve and fifteenth in Portugal.

Quinta de Cima is also par 72, yet it is longer than the Quinta da Ria course by about 250 metres. It is challenging with doglegs, sand bunkers, and many water hazards, especially the hidden streams on the holes that are par 5. The course has long gently sloping fairways, each with marvellous mountain and ocean views. Quinta de Cima was designed for professional golfers. A stream runs across the sixteenth hole. The seventeenth hole has a pond. The eighteenth hole has water that runs across the fairway and a lake next to the green.

"The best Quinta golf comparing to others"

Better of the two courses and a great challenge. Length is deceiving as it’s much longer than you think! ...superb greens! It is however expensive compared to other top rate courses but i would return for sure!

  • "Definitely worth trying!"

The course was in super condition, it offers a great test of your game. The par 4s and 5s are all long, good tee shots on the fairways are essential. We would recommend a buggy for this course even though it is flat, the day we played it was 38C. Quinta da Cima does not have the views of its sister Quinta da Ria, yet is a stunning place to play. Memorable hole is 18, a long accurate tee shot over a stream, you then have the option to lay up or play a 3 wood to a green guarded by water all down the left hand side

Pro Comment: Quinta de Cima is the better course of the Robinson Resort, with scenic views from Ria Formosa, this course is among the best in the eastern Algarve. It worth to take note of the PAR 5 16th, 17th and PAR 3 18th holes, where water comes in to play dangerously. All in all a good one for a relaxing golfing day.
